If you're thinking "How do I know if I am in love?" ask yourself what dreams of yours, if any, you'd be willing
to give up, or set aside temporarily to help your partner fulfill hers or his? If the answer is none, not only aren't you
in love, but you might want to wonder about your standing as a member of the human race. Love is about compromise, and, in
fact, sometimes it's about being happier making your partner's wishes come true and seeing her or his happiness than seeing
your own dreams fulfilled

The internet has brought a revolution to British pensioners looking for love. Tens of thousands of ageing men and women are
now using it to seek romance, build relationships and escape loneliness. The myth of pensioners quietly sipping Ovaltine in
their carpet slippers is over, with most dating websites including pages of postings from people with usernames like 'techno-granddad'.

Two polls marking Silver Surfers' day, suggest technologies like the net are considered essential by older people.
More than half of over-55s online say the net gives them a new lease of life Over 7% regularly visit online dating services

There was a time when technophobia stopped many seniors from using the Internet. But that's changing. Today seniors are
logging on and proving that you're never too old to look for love,
Bob Green was 55 when his son talked him into signing up with Silver dating, an online dating service.
"I was at a point where I thought, 'Well, I'm not going to find that person.' And I was getting a little sad at that
time, because the years go by and I didn't want to be alone," he says. "I thought I'm going to go for it. I'd rather
do that than go to a bar."
Fran was in her mid-50s when she posted her profile.
"Well, first of all, I felt that the time was right for me. I was in the mood to meet someone and be serious,"
she says. "I think you have to be kind of adventurous though, but that's me. I included that I like music and I play
the piano."
Her bio attracted Bob's attention one night. "I said, 'Boy, that's interesting. She's interested in the same things
I am.' So I emailed her."
Bob and Fran started dating last May, and by August they were walking down the aisle together.
"It was just something that, really, there was a connection. And I can't describe it. But it's a wonderful thing
to have happen to you," says Chet.
But they're not the only seniors willing to try a new approach to solving an old problem.
Seniors are the fastest growing segment of Internet users, and more and more of them are using the Internet to look for
love. In fact, 16 percent of all those active on the top five Internet dating sites are 55 or older.
SOME BASIC TIPS FOR THE MEN !
Accessories
When it comes to the fashion stakes, the young seem to be able to get away with anything, in a world where anything outlandish
is sure to be adopted into next season`s fashion. Things are not so easy for men over 50. From a glance down any crowded street
it is clear to see that the fashion industry may just have left the middle aged man behind. Or could it be that they have
just lost their way?
Our appearance and image is vital in so many areas of our life. It forms the basis of other peoples` perception of us
as
individuals, which is the basis for how we influence others and so gain power in our lives. We only live once, and if
rumours are to be believed, 50 is the new 30. Life can be extended with a positive attitude and outlook which extends to health
and fitness, personal hygiene, grooming and fashion. Yes, fashion! Who in their right mind wants to look like a grandad at
50, together with the customary pipe and slippers? With a little thought and creativity there is no excuse for the average
over 50s man not to go out rivalling the likes of Bruce Willis or Kevin Costner.
For both smart and casual dressing, there are a number of key points to remember that will keep a man in style. As we
mature, our fashion tastes need to move away from the fussy and fuddy-duddy and lean more towards the sophisticated, especially
in the business environment, where impressions really count. Remember the simple rules of colour, limiting your outfits to
two or three complementary and flattering colours for a coordinated look. Buy a suit of good quality fabric, that fits your
body type and does not fit too loosely. Trousers should be long enough to cover coordinating socks, and shoes should be immaculate;
lace-ups are always a safe bet. Long-sleeved shirts always look sophisticated, particularly if worn with a tie which should
be tied correctly and fall to the belt-line. For the casual look, many of the same rules apply. It is advisable to stick to
clean, fresh and simple and invest in colours that coordinate and suit your skin tone. For casual trousers, tee-shirts and
sweatshirts, the key is to ensure a secure fit that flatters your body shape and hides those unsightly bulges.
A much neglected essential for a sophisticated look is the accessories, which can really enhance an outfit. Ensure that
your belt is of good quality and matches your shoes. Resist the temptation of the wacky tie, and stick to designs that coordinate
well with the rest of your outfit. Scarves are a classy accessory that can transform a casual winter look if worn well with
good quality fabrics. For summer, ensure that trousers are of good light fabric but fit well, and if shorts are in order for
hot days, ensure that they extend to just above the knee.
